Tony Stark is remembering the New Year party of 1999 where he has seen Maya Hansen – a scientist who has invented the Extremis. This is regenerative treatment still in experimental stage to recover from cripping injuries. Stark rejects the offer if Aldrich Killian a scientist with disabilities. After few years after the battle of New York is over, Stark is suffering from panic attacks due to alien invasion. In that restlessness he creates many iron man suits. His girlfriend gets angry over this and starts arguing with him.
A terrorist named Mandarin is attacking bombs in a series and the intelligence agencies are get confused as they can’t find any forensic evidence. Mandarin attacks injure Happy Hogan who is chief security office for Stark. Stark then telecasts a threat message to Mandarin and as a reply Mandarin attacks Stark’s house with gunship. Hansen came to Warn Stark however survives from the attacks.
